Winners of the “Emprende Games” competition

With Calavera Studio and the game Ajayu, we won the biggest Game Development competition so far in Bolivia: Emprende Games.

The prize was not only a very juicy monetary award, but also a spot to be on the Indie Prize competition, the first Bolivian game ever to be there!

This competition took place at the ExpoBix in La Paz, during which I was also invited to give a talk on Music/Sound for Videogames.

Back from the Chiquitania!

After 2 very hot weeks of recordings, we are back!

They were 2 magical weeks, during which we got to know our cultural heritage, and best of all, record them for future generations.

We have a long road ahead of us with post-production, but I can’t wait to share the final results!

In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek!

“Sonidos del Oriente Boliviano” winner of the contestable funds “Intervenciones Urbanas”!

Sonidos del Oriente Boliviano, a project that I’ve hold very close to my chest for the last decade, finally has been developed enough and recieved the funds for it to become a reality, thanks to the cultural contestable funds Intervenciones Urbanas by the Ministry of Planning and Development!

Soon I’ll be embarking on a 15 day trip through the Misiones de Chiquitos with the intention to record 15 folk ensembles and missional orchestras, preserving their cultural heritage for the upcoming generations.

Can’t wait to share the project with everyone!

Travelling to the Game Developers Conference (GDC)!

Thanks to a scholarship awarded by the Latinoamerica Video Games Federation and the Bolivian Videogames Association, I’ll be attending GDC for the first time!

I’ll make the most of the opportunity looking for publishers for an un-announced project, as well as meeting international developers and studios.

San Francisco, here I go!

miniDoom 2 Soundtrack (Riffs from Mars and Hell) released!

The miniDoom 2 Soundtrack (Riffs from Mars and Hell) is out!!

You can buy it or stream it in all digital platforms (iTunes, Spotify…etc), as well as watch a special video on Youtube where you can listen to the full soundtrack while watching gameplay by myself!

The interesting part about this video is that it’s edited to fit the correct gameplay areas to the corresponding part of the music, so even if you haven’t played the game yet you can still listen to the soundtrack in context.

Enjoy!
